1. what is symmetry ? !
Symmetry is a attribute of a shape OR relation ; exact reflection of form on opposite sides of a dividing line OR plane.
2.what is asymmetry ? !
The parts of a design organized so that one side differs from the other without destroying the overall harmony.
3. how have your photographs demonstrated these two concepts ? !
Photo number one demonstrates the asymmetry concept because the picture has two different sides & the picture doesn't look unorganized or anything the it look likes an asymmetry picture. For photo number two it looks like a normal picture taken except the picture were taken so that both of the sides aren't alike in anyway & this photo definitely did follow the rule. For photo number three its lockers on both side but there angled different and they are different colors and everything so therefore they HAVE NO symmetry & follows the asymmetry concept.
For photo number four it follows the symmetry concept because on both sides of the picture it has the exact same chair & color & its positioned the same & facing the exact same way. For picture number five it follows the symmetry concept because they have the exact same items & styles on both sides of the picture. Lastly, for photo six it follows the symmetry concept because the bars are all the same & have the same background and light that hits both sides the same way which follows the symmetry rule.
4. what was your biqqest challenqe with this assiqnment ? !
My biqqest challenqe with this assiqnment was that it was hard for me to find symmetrical pictures and aim the camera so it only captured the symmetrical part of a picture not the whole picture. Many times I had asymmetrical pictures where some parts of the photo had symmetry but the entire picture didnt so that would be my biqqest struqqle with this assiqnment.
5. what was your biqqest success with this assiqnment ? !
My biggest sucess was that I manaqed to take 128 photos and took alot of symmertrical & alot of asymmetrical pictures also. And I completed this assiqnment with a qood feelinq that I would qet a qood qrade for my work so this was definitely a successful assiqnment I completed.
